Non-Patient Appointments

A non-patient appointment might include staff training sessions, or visits by drug company representatives. Non-patient appointments can be recorded in the Appointment Book alongside other types of appointments.

To Add a Non-Patient Appointment for a Single Practitioner:

1.      Open the Appointment module by either;

o      Clicking

o      Selecting Waiting Room > Appointment Book.

 

In the example below, a non-patient appointment for Staff Training has been scheduled for Saturday at 8:30.

 

 

 

2.      If you have multiple Appointment Books in use, select the Appointment Book you wish to use via the associated drop-down list.

3.      Ensure you are in 'Week' view.

 

4.      Select the Practitioner for whom you wish to assign the appointment, using the associated drop-down list.

5.      Select an appointment slot. Alternatively, to create the same appointment across multiple days, click-and-drag your mouse across multiple appointment slots.

6.      Type in some text to describe the non-patient appointment.

7.      Press CTRL+Enter. The non-patient appointment block appears in the Appointment Book.

To Add a Non-Patient Appointment for Multiple Practitioners:

1.      Open the Appointment module by either;

o      Clicking

o      Selecting Waiting Room > Appointment Book.

 

 

2.      If you have multiple Appointment Books in use, select the Appointment Book you wish to use via the associated drop-down list.

3.      Ensure you are in 'Day' view.

 

4.      Locate the time you wish to start the appointment. Then, click and drag your mouse across multiple columns/rows to select multiple slots simultaneously. In the example below, we have selected a session from 10:00 to 10:30, for two practitioners.

 

5.      With the appointment slots selected, type in some text to describe the non-patient appointment. The example below shows that Staff Training has been scheduled.

 

6.      Press CTRL+Enter. The non-patient appointment block now appears in the Appointment Book for the multiple practitioners selected.
