Via the Practice tab of Clinical Options, ensure you have;
o Imported the IHI Signing, IHI Encryption, and My Health Record certificates.
o Recorded the HPI-O of the Practice.
o Recorded the Organisation Type and Service type.
Via the User Database in Clinical, ensure you have;
o Recorded your HPI-I. Note that as from MedicalDirector Clinical 3.15, full-access users can record their HPI-I also. Refer to the guide ‘Recording HPI-I for Non-GP Health Practitioners’.
o Recorded your PCHER details.
Note that in order for MedicalDirector Clinical to conduct a check of a patient’s My Health Record status, the following information must be recorded within the patient’s record;
o First Name and Surname
o Medicare No and position on card, or DVA No.
o Date of Birth
o Sex at Birth

The prerequisites mentioned above must be met for automatic checking to be available.
Upon opening a patient’s record, their My Health Record status will be checked and displayed within the Clinical Window.
The prerequisites mentioned above must be met for manual checking to be available.
Conduct a manual check of the patient’s My Health Record status by clicking the My Health Record button in the Clinical Window.
A check of the patient’s My Health Record is conducted, the results of which are displayed in their record, as shown following.
o Exists requires access code as of DD/MM/YYYY: The patient has a My Health Record record but it requires an access code. The patient has setup the access code for his/her My Health Record.
o Exists with access permission as of DD/MM/YYYY: The patient has a My Health Record record and you may access the patient’s My Health Record.
o Does not exist or not disclosed as of DD/MM/YYYY: The patient either does not have a My Health Record or the My Health Record record is hidden.
o IHI not recorded as of DD/MM/YYYY: The patient does not have an IHI recorded.
