Pracsoft can be setup to import changes made to patient records in Clinical, specifically Medicare Item Numbers, patient demographic edits and immunisations data. This is achieved by establishing a link between the two applications, as explained below.

1.      Select Medical Director > Medical Director Link Options. The Medical Director Link Options window appears.

2.      Select the Links tab.

3.      Establish the link between Pracsoft and Clinical.

To link Pracsoft with Clinical tick the Link to Medical Director check box. Because Pracsoft and Clinical share the same patient database, it is not necessary to import or export patient data between them, and therefore the Import Settings and Export Settings tabs become disabled upon ticking this box.

(Optional) Once you have activated the link to Clinical, you can also specify to have Pracsoft read immunisations (ACIR) data from Clinical. This data can then be sent to Medicare via Online Claiming.

4.      Click Save to confirm your changes.
