The Helix Agent is an application required for using devices (such as scanners and printers) with Helix.

When you run Helix for the first time, the following is displayed at the bottom right the screen, to indicate that the Helix Agent has not yet been installed.

1.      Click the Agent Requires Installation button. You will be prompted to download the Helix Agent.

o      Download the agent to a location of your choosing on your computer. Make a note of this location.

2.      After the Helix Agent installation application has downloaded, click to close this window.

3.      Close Helix.

4.      Locate and run the Helix Agent installation application. Follow the prompts to install the Helix Agent. Once complete, the icon will appear in your Windows Task Bar.

o        Connected

o        Connecting

o        Disconnected

5.      Run and log into Helix again. The following is now displayed momentarily at the bottom right the screen, to indicate that the Helix Agent is installed an active.
