A Recall is a type of flag recorded against a patient's record, designed to inform practitioner s and/or practice staff of when the patient is due to return to the practice, usually so that some clinical procedure can be performed such as an annual health check. In the Message Centre, you can view a list of recalls and then perform an action upon them, such as sending an SMS reminder to the patient.
1. Locate and click to access the Message Centre.

the Recalls panel.

3. Filter/sort the list of recalls as desired: Sort by clicking a column header, or Filter by Recall Type / Status / Reason / HCP / Centre / Date.
4. Locate and select the recall you wish to modify. The recall editing panel appears.
o It will not be possible to edit the recall reason, urgency indicator, or date from within the Message Centre. This content can only be edited by a practitioner from within the patient's record.
5. Make changes as necessary.

Indicate successful contact with the patient. Available only to Urgent recalls. |

Indicate an unsuccessful contact with the patient. Available only to Urgent recalls. |

Delete the recall. You will be prompted to confirm this action. Available only to practitioners. |

Keep the recall open and defer it. The recall remains in the Timeline and in the list of 'new recalls' in the Message Centre. Available only to practitioners. |

Indicate that the recall has been made successfully. The recall is removed from the patient’s Timeline and is added to the list of 'contacted recalls' in the Message Centre. Available only to practitioners. |

Save any changes to the recall. |
6. From
the recall editing panel you can click on the filtered section
to change the filter set for Recall Search.

3. Filter the list of recalls if necessary.
4. To print recalls, select one or more patient recalls to print, and then click
o When recalls are printed they are moved to the Sent list, and marked as Printed in the Comments column. The recall status in the Timeline also updates to Sent.
o When an urgent recall is printed it remains in the New list, and is marked as Printed in the Comments column.
Before you begin:
o Ensure you have enabled SMS recall messaging for your centre in Recall Management settings.
o To send an SMS to a patient, the patient must first give consent to receive SMS messages. This is configured via the associated setting in their record.
o The patient must also have a mobile phone number recorded.

3. Filter
the list of recalls if desired.
4. Place
a tick next to each patient you wish to send an SMS recall reminder
to.
5. Click . A note about the recall SMS is added to the patient's timeline.
Selected Recalls can be exported as a .CSV file that can then be opened and used in Microsoft Excel.
Note that this process does not export recall letters as such. Rather, it exports the details displayed in the Recalls tab such as shown in the example image below.
1. Select one or more patient recalls to export.
2. Click A CSV file is generated which can be saved to your computer, and opened and used in Excel.
